Infection Control Training - January 15, 2025

Infection Control Training is an annual requirement for dentists and their teams. This virtual class allows everybody to meet their state requirement with the convenience of a virtual class.  This required training is presented by Eric Gallegos of Dentsply.

Infection Prevention Standards: A look at CDC guidelines and DQAC requirements with practical ways to implement them.

Dental team members will learn how to protect themselves from exposure to potential infectious agents in the dental office. This course shows way to reduce the risk of acquiring exposure and ensuring that your practice is following state requirements.  DQAC is now requiring annual infection control staff training that includes such issues as respiratory hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, dental unit water quality protocols, hand-piece sterilization and more.  This 1-hour class will address the required issues in a fun,  relatable format.

Erin Gallegos

Erin Gallegos has an extensive history with the Dentsply Sirona company, and has been an employee since 2004.  She works as Executive Region Business Specialists, Preventive; focusing on the infection control aspects of dentistry. Ms. Gallegos is a member of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) and OSAP DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention.  In 2020, Aimee and Erin earned there OSAP Control Certificate. Her knowledge helps the dental clinician become more efficient in their daily duties plus ensuring they are following CDC and State Dental Infection Prevention guidelines/laws. Erin also educates the Distributor channels on these topics. Erin was a competitive figure skater winning regional championships in the 1990s. and brings the focus and energy she learned in her athletic career to her work in the dental industry.
